Day 2Yerevan City Tour - Garni Temple - Geghard Monastery - Symphony of Stones - Charenc Arch tour – Pick Up - 10:00am

Breakfast at the hotel and full day Tour

CHARENC ARCH – Driving along the Yerevan – Garni highway, you can see the Charents Arch on the right side of the road on a hill. The monument is named after the great Armenian poet and great patriot Yeghishe Charents. From here a stunning view of the great biblical mountain Ararat opens all day long.

GARNI is a pagan temple and best-known structure & symbol of pre- Christian Armenia. It is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in  Armenia. The structure was probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the sun god Mihr.

GEGHARD meaning “Spear”, originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion. It’s a medieval monastery which was partially carved out of the adjacent mountain. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

SYMPHONY OF STONES is the result of the collapse of volcanic rocks. It is hard to believe that neatly and symmetrically carved stones are created by nature itself, and not by human hands.

Yerevan City Tour:

GENOCIDE COMPLEX – away from the city center, on one of the green hills of nation in 1915.

MOTHER ARMENIA – a statue which was constructed to replace a monumental statue of Joseph Stalin. Thereafter, you will head to the

CASCADE – a giant stairway in the capital city which links the downtown Kentron area of Yerevan with the Monument neighbourhood. The stairs afford walkers unobstructed views of central Yerevan and Mount Ararat. From the Cascade we start walk to the

OPERA HOUSE  – designed by the Armenian architect Alexander Tamanyan .

REPUBLIC SQUARE – is very famous for the dancing water fountains , which are singing from 21.00-23.00. ( free day Tuesday).

VERNISSAGE MARKET – If you are looking for souvenirs & traditional Armenian products during your holiday to Armenia, Vernissage is the best place to be (preferable to visit on week-ends).

Yerevan, there is a Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide. This place eternalized the memory of the awful crime of the 20th century against the Armenian

Day 3TSAGHKADZOR CITY –TSAGHKADZOR ROPEWAY - LAKE SEVAN, SEVANAVANK - DILIJAN – LAKE PARZ Tour – 10:00am

Breakfast in the hotel

10:00 meeting in a hotel lobby

TSAGHKADZOR ROPEWAY- which is  located on a slope of Teghenis Mountain offers you a ride with beautiful view to Tsaghkadzor City & near mountains.

LAKE SEVAN is the largest body of water in both Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude (alpine) lakes in Eurasia. The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900.44 m (6,235 ft) above sea level.

SEVANAVANK is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan. According to an inscription found in the territory, the monastery was built by Armenian princess Mariam, daughter of Ashot I, who later became the king of Armenia and the founder of Bagratuni dynasty.

DILIJAN is one of the ancient Armenian cities where tourists can find amazing historical sights. Dilijan is also a famous resort city. The air is crystal clear here thanks to the dense mountain forests surrounding the city. Dilijan is considered an important cultural center of the country. The large natural mass surrounding the city has the status of a national park. Dilijan is very popular among tourists due to its special, healing climate and clean air. Due to the similarity of natural conditions, the city is sometimes called “Armenian Switzerland”. In Dilijan, according to the discretion of the guests, also taking into consideration the weather conditions, we will visit either Parz lake (adventurous place & nature wonder) or Haghartsin monastery (historical destination & stunning nature views).

Return back to hotel from the trip around evening time

Day 4 KHOR VIRAP & Ararat Mountain View – ARENI WINERY – ARENI CAVE- NORAVANK Tour – 10:00am

KHOR VIRAP is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat Plain in Armenia, near the closed border with Turkey, about 8 kilometres south of Artashat, Ararat Province, within the territory of ancient Artaxata.  Khor Virap plays an integral role in the history of Armenia due to the legend of St. Gregory the Illuminator, the first Armenian Catholicos, who was imprisoned there for 14 years. The full part of the history ask your local guide.

Spectacular views of Mount Ararat, where Noah’s Ark is believed to have rested.

Deep historical significance as the place where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned

NORAVANK means “New Monastery” in Armenian. However, today this name does not fit, as the monastery is already more than seven centuries old. The beautiful Noravank Monastery was built in the 13th century on the ledge of narrow winding gorge above the Amaghu River, near the city of Yeghegnadzor. The spare lines of the church contrast beautifully with the sharp red rock cliffs, and the amazing scenery of the surrounding is one of the best reasons to visit Noravank too.

ARENI WINERY – founded in 1994, Areni Wine Factory is among the oldest and most well-established wine facilities in the area. The winery has welcomed some 30,000 curious (and thirsty!) visitors every year since 2012. Here we will have chance to taste various kinds of wine and listen to the history of wine makers in Armenia.

ARENI CAVE is the next stop, where was discovered the earliest known shoe in the world. Also in January 2011, the earliest known winery in the world was uncovered here. As well as the oldest humanoid brain was discovered in this cave.
